kathmandu: An eight-year-old boy was killed when an ambulance knocked him down at Pipalla of Dipayal Silgadhi municipality-4 on Tuesday.
The victim is Ishan Kunwar, the son of Aijung Kunwar, the Director of the local Shaileshwari Hospital.
The ambulance of Shaileshwari Hospital hit the boy when the ambulance was on back gear.
Ishan who was critically injured in the incident died while being taken to Nepalgunj for treatment.
He was referred to Nepalgunj for advanced treatment. Police have arrested the ambulance driver.
The Shaileshwari Hospital is closed after the incident.
