Surunga, Jhapa, Nov 17 : Two people were killed in a vehicular accident that occurred on the Juke Culvert section of the East-West highway at Kankai Municipality-1 today.The deceased are 53-year-old Rangalal Dhakal and his wife Manamaya Dhakal, 52, of Damak municipality-3, according to the District traffic Police Office, Jhapa.The Dhakal couple was travelling by motorcycle when a microbus (registration number plate Ba 3 Kha5887) heading west from the east hit their motorcycle. The motorcycle (Me 1 Pa 9899) was going east from west when the accident occurred.The Dhakal couple who was critically injured in the accident died while undergoing treatment at B&C Hospital, Birtamod, police said. The microbus driver and his vehicle have been impounded by Area Police Office, Surunga. (RSS)
