Jaimini and Phalebas connected by suspension bridge

BAGLUNG : Jaimini, the southern part of Baglung has been connected with Phalebas, the district headquarters of Parbat, by a suspension bridge over the Kaligandaki River.

The people of southern Baglung have to frequently visit Phalebas for the business purpose and the newly constructed infrastructure is meant for the convenience of them.

The Suspension Bridge Division Office, Kathmandu’s engineer Sagarram Nepal confirmed that the construction of a 318-meter suspension bridge linking Devisthan of Phalebas municipality-4 and Binamar Miringe of Jaimini municipality-5.

The construction project had begun one and half years ago and it got completed within the deadline. It cost Rs 15.25 million. Phalebas serves as the major trade hub for many people of Jaimini and Bareng rural municipality that lie in southern Baglung.

Jaimini and Phaelbas areas are pocket zones for cash crops and fruit farming in the locality. Besides, the construction of the country’s longest 567-meter suspension bridge is underway here.

It will connect Pang Aduwabari of Parbat to Ramrekha of Baglung municipality-1. The bridge will have the capacity to resist the load of 600-700 people at once, the office said.
