Chobhar will be developed into tourist spot

Kathmandu, Oct 28: Minister for Youth and Sports, Rajendra KC, has said Chobhar, the place carrying historic significance in the development of human settlement in the Kathmandu Valley, will be developed into a tourist spot.While inaugurating a public facility or resting place for travellers (pati) constructed by the Aakash Bhairavnath Guthi at Kirtipur Municipality-6 Saturday, Minister KC vowed to make initiations for the conservation of natural beauty and heritages of Chobhar which adjoins Kathmandu.Kirtipur Municipality mayor Rameshman Maharjan expressed his concern over lack of infrastructure development in Kirtipur and its adjoining areasAccording to Guthi chair Sharad Kumar Dangol, it cost Rs 1.2 million to construct the facility.Chobhar that lies in some 9 kilometers in south from Kathmandu has religious sites including Jalbinayak and Adinath Temple.
