Pedestrian killed in road mishap

Kathmandu, Oct 26 : A pedestrian died in a road accident at Basundhara in Kathmandu valley on Wednesday night.The deceased has been identified as Tek Bahadur Majhi, 40, of Sindhuli. The incident took place when a passenger bus (Ba 3 Kha 9690) and a taxi (Ba 1 Ja 3808) collided with each other.Majhi died on the way to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.Similarly, Uddhav Poudel of Mahottari and another unidentified person were also injured in the incident. They are receiving treatment at Green City Hospital, Basundhara, said police.Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj, Yogendra Singh Thapa, said that investigation into the case was underway by arresting drivers of both vehicles.
