Collaboration for sustainable development and peace: Suu Kyi

Kathmandu : State Counsellor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has stressed the need of collaboration for the establishment of sustainable development and peace in the world. 

Addressing the 'Asia Pacific Summit-2018' formally inaugurated here from today, she said that every challenge should be faced taking it as the opportunity in a positive way. 

She further said that common problems of Asia Pacific region like poverty could be resolved only by giving priority to mutual prosperity, collaboration and humanity, insisting sustainable development, prosperity and peace should be established simultaneously. 

Similarly, Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, and leader of Bharatiya Janata Party, Vijay Jolly, have also addressed the Summit. 

Leader Jolly said that India was ready to collaborate for global peace and development. 

Welcoming the guests, Chairman of the Universal Peace Federation, Dr Thomas G Walsh, said that the Summit would give a message for sustainable goals, peace and collaboration. 

This is first time that such Summit is taking place in Nepal.
