Kathmandu : Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed his sorrow over the demise of Birendra Prasai, father of party's central member Sarita Prasai.
In a press statement today, the party president said the late Prasai had an active role in democratic movements in Nepal. The President has, wishing for eternal peace to the departed soul, extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. The 79- year-old Prasai died at his Jhapa-based residence Friday.
