Nawalparasi : Death toll from the Sunday bus accident at Madhyabindu municipality-11, Arunkhola in eastern Nawalparasi has reached seven.
Police informed that the death toll reaches seven with the demise of critically injured Ganesh Basnet, 30, of Solukhumbu while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The deceased are Tilak Bista (35) of Hastachaur rural municipality-2 of Gulmi, Suhan Karki (11) of Sundarharaicha-12 of Morang district, Ramjeet Rai (27) of Hatuwagadhi-6 of Bhojpur, Abdul Ansari (32), a local of Sunsari but is currently working at District Health Office in western Nawalparasi and Bidyananda Yadav of Bihar, India.
Likewise, 15 out of 35 injured were taken back to home while remaining 20 are being treated at Bharatpur hospital in Chitwan, police confirmed.
muter bus (Lu 1 Kha 8454) bound to Bhairahawa from Itahari had met with an accident at around 5.00 pm on Sunday morning.
Police have suspected that the accident took place due to dim light and high speed of the bus.
