Kathmandu, 28 Jan : Former joint General Secretary of Nepali Congress Purna Bahadur Khadka has been bereaved of his mother.
Khadka’s mother Mayadevi passed away at her residence in Birendranagar municipality-7 of Surkhet last night. She was 94, according to NC party office.
Meanwhile, issuing a statement here today, Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed sorrow over the demise of Khadka and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul, while extending heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
The late Khadka had played an active role in Nepal’s democratic movement. She is survived by four sons and six daughters.
