Kapilbastu, 17 Jan : A woman was killed when a truck hit the motorcycle she was travelling on here last night. The accident occurred at the Surainaka bridge at Shivaraj Municipality-1.
The victim is identified as 24-year-old Mubsara Khatun of Balrampur Shankharpur village, India.
She was pillion riding on the motorcycle (UP 55 U 0481) driven by Atikul Rahman of Dheruwa, Balrampur of India and died on the spot after a truck 9 Na 2 Kha 9960) hit the motorcycle, police said. Rahman was injured in the accident and he is undergoing treatment at a hospital in India. Police have impounded the truck and its driver for investigation.
