Suranga (Jhapa), 25 Nov – A bomb went off at the house of CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli in Damak at around 4.00 this morning.
Superintendant of Police at Jhapa District Police Office Bishnu KC said the Impoverished Explosive Device (IED) was detonated at the main gate of the house where Mayor of Damak municipality, Romnakh Oli, is residing.
The bomb disposal team of Nepal Army is defusing the IED planted at the gate of the house.
Likewise, the explosives were also detonated at the house of Nepali Congress Jhapa President and candidate of House of Representatives from constituency-2 Uddhav Thapa at around 12.00 on Friday night.
Police said that the explosion had completely damaged a Bolero jeep (Ba 7 Cha 6895) being parked at Thapa’s house.
